Erma Stallings Obituary

Erma Lea (Lovett, Stuart) Stallings

Pleasant Hill

Erma passed away from cancer on February 5, 2011, at her winter home in Gilbert, Arizona.

Erma was born in Mitchellville, Iowa, on October 23, 1926, to Jack and Elsie Lovett. The family moved to Youngstown, now the town of Pleasant Hill and she remained a resident there throughout her life. She retired from Little Giant International in Des Moines after many years.

Erma had seven children from her first marriage. In 1976, she married Brainard "Lee" Stallings, who preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by her children (and spouses), Karen (Phil) Strathman, Merrimak, WI; Kathy Stuart and Jack (Becky) Stuart, Des Moines; Cheryl (Kevin) Frampton, Urbandale; Carol (Earl) King, Smithville, TX; Jeff (Lisa) Stuart, Pleasant Hill; Rusty Stuart, Gilbert, AZ; a step-daughter, Carole (Glen) Gruenemeier, Tuscon, AZ; 15 grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy (Bob) West, Indianola; and Wilma (Dick) Gaskins, Gilbert, AZ, and a host of other family and friends who dearly loved her.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service for Erma on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Pleasant Hill Free Church, 4555 Parkridge Avenue, Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Interment and luncheon to follow.
