Next to my own father, Milan Kaderavek was the most important man in my life; I owe more to his personal and musical example than I could ever say.
He was a great role model, and wonderful man.
I am so proud and blessed to have had Milan as my friend and father-in-law. He lived a life of creative and intellectual pursuit till the end. He was a true gentleman in the every sense of the word-thoughtful, inquisitive, gracious and charming. He was so loving and attentive to his wife Eileen, as she was to him. My wife Karen could always count on her dad to be there for her. We will all miss him so.
Milan Kaderavek was a major influence in my life and set a high standard for himself and for his students. I am grateful for having the chance of studying with him.
I did not know Dr. Kaderavek, but have heard of his musical talents and adventures from Brian. A wonderful life reflected in his lovely family. God Bless.
Dr. Kaderavek was one of the great minds in the world. I learned so much from him and he made me a better thinker, musician and student. I am honored to call myself one of his students.
Now that I have been teaching for almost 20 yrs, I have seen how important composition can be to teaching young people meaning beyond notes. I am no composer, but I truly appreciate my students who are, through surviving this mans classes.....rest in peace Dr. Kaderavek
A true gentleman who taught me more than I ever thought about music. I can still hear his laugh, even after graduating from Drake over 20 yrs. ago. God Bless
He was one of my favorite professors at Drake, even though he was one of the toughest. He has left such a legacy in his students.
Dr. Kaderavek always expected the best from his students, and I am all the better for it. He will always remain one of my favorite music professors from my years at Drake University and will be greatly missed.
Milan was a man's man! He taught me much about life. Through his words and actions his was a life well-lived. Those who were fortunate enough to know Milan will sorely miss him.
My father-in-law. A true gentle-man.
Gob bless you and your family, Milan.
A gifted teacher, my music mentor and dear friend for 50 years. A gifted man and a life well lived.
