Just returned from a Colorado vacation trip and was shocked to hear of Steve's death. He was a great co-worker and friend. Your family and our city have suffered a great loss. Call me sometime.
Kandi and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of your loss. Hold onto all the great memories to help you in the days to come.
My heart goes out to the family of a very good friend, Steve will be missed.
This candle cannot compare to the light of your smile that you shined onto peoples lives.
Thank you for being an amazing friend to Jake and Holin
Nate, Heather and family-
This is such a heartbreaking loss. There are no words to discribe the love we have for Steve. He was there thru so many trying and happy times of my life. Always like another brother to my dad; another father to me. Heaven truly earned a bright light on tuesday. Love- Tiff, Brian, Cam and Dallas
To the Gunson family: My family lived next door to the Gunson family (south) and Stevie and I grew up playing together. His mom, Nadine, taught me how to walk and carry myself like a model. I ran into Steve in the 70s and we recalled a lot of fun things. I know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
To the entire Gunson Family:
My thoughts and prayers go out to Steve's wife and children. I have the fondest memories of growing up with Steve and spending time with him at his house. Steve's mother and dad, Roy and Nadine always made me feel as if I was part of the family and I always looked forward to visiting their home.
May Steve rest in peace.
Kandi and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my daily prayers.
Love, Patti Claxton (Cousin)
Steve was a good guy, and I will miss his presence in the world. I had the pleasure of working with him for a number of years. He was always gracious with his time and working with him was always great. I was lucky enough to see he and Kandi together often and the joy they took in each other's company was obvious. I feel privileged to have known Steve and I'm sure he will be missed by many.
The halls of North High are diminished with Steve's passing. Prayers and thoughts to his family and friends. Steve's 1967 North High class page:

Treasure all your memories & write them down so your grandchildren can have them as they get older.Be thankful you traveled & enjoyed your short time together. Thinking of you often.
So sorry for your loss. We lived next door to the Gunson family, Roy, Nadine, Mike and Steve. I babysitted for Steve many times..he truly will be missed by our family, the Smiths.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.
I had the pleasure of working for and with Steve on several of his special assignments. He truly was a friend to all and one of fairest, kindest people I have ever known.
We will not be able to attend his services but please know we will be there in spirit. We are so sorry for your loss.

Kandi, Nick and Family - Like probably all, I am very saddened and shocked by news of Steve's passing. When I first came to the City, Steve was a big help in my adjustment and a wealth of knowledge. I truly hope you treasure all the memories you made. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
