Jody Moore, 49, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at her home in Des Moines. She was born March 22, 1963, in Des Moines to Skip and Elnora Albright.
On June 5, 1982, Jody married the love of her life, Garland and they shared 30 years together. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, son, daughter-in-law, grandson, and her dogs, Macee and Razzie. Jody was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a volunteer EMT and Firefighter for Saylor Township where she was named the first female president of the fire department. Jody enjoyed shopping, camping, the outdoors, flowers and gardening. She received her Associates Degree from DMACC and was employed at Principal Financial Group as a Documentation Specialist since 1985.
Jody is survived by her loving husband, Garland; son, Ben and daughter-in-law, Kristina; grandson, Cohen; parents, Skip and Elnora Albright; sister, Brenda Kirschbaum; other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Helen Minor, Paul and Floretta Albright, Max and Ester Fell, and Garland and Ruth Moore.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Monies, with burial following at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Jody.

We are so very shocked and sadden to hear of your loss. Jody was an amazing person. Even tho its been awhile since we have seen you guys, Jody will be greatly missed. We will always cherish those great memories we shared just hanging out and watching Nick, Carlye and Ben grow up.
