I will always remember Aunt Josie's energy. She was a hard worker who loved family and had a generous heart. I was very young when I visited her one time with my parents but she had a wonderful way of making you feel at home. The last time I saw her was at her 100 birthday celebration and she was so upbeat and happy. You would have never thought she was that age. If I can live my life as well as she did, what an accomplishment that would be. You lived a good life, Aunt Josie. They don't make them like you anymore. May you have peace and say hello to everyone there for us. Love you.

You are so Loved and

kissing your head and of course Uncle Bill
yelling "Josephine over here"????

Memories of Aunt Josie….. I remember the many visits from her & Uncle Bill, when they came to Rockford. Whether it was the visits at Stan & Lena's, or Little Grandma's Birthday Parties at Linos, she was always full of energy. As a young boy, I remember going to visit Aunt Josie & Uncle Bill in Des Moines with my parents, and seeing their big house. As a kid, I was in intrigued by the whole-house intercom. Funny how the little things get our attention as children.

Her Christmas & Birthday Cards, with the kind thoughts & McDonalds Bucks always touched us. She was never afraid to share those little morsels of advice, and always ‘weighed-in' on some rather intense family discussions. Now, Aunt Josie & Uncle Bill are reunited again, and while we miss them both very much, I look forward to the day, when we'll meet them again. My dearest condolences to the family. You are all in my thoughts & prayers, in this difficult time.
