Lola Furman
Iowa Falls
Lola Mae (Muhlenbruck) Furman age 77 of Iowa Falls joined her lord and savior in the early morning of Friday, March 21, 2014.
She was born to Alva and Rebecca (Koenen) Muhlenbruck and graduated from Chapin High School. Lola married her husband Duane on May 31, 1956 at St. Paul Lutheran in Latimer. They spent their life together in Bradford. Lola later moved to Iowa Falls.
Lola was a loving, dedicated wife and mother and spent many years raising her three children and taking care of the family trucking business. Her second career was Postmistress in Bradford. Bringing a smile to everyone's face was Lola's favorite responsibility.
She was a devoted and active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She participated in bible study and was active in Ladies Aid. She volunteered at the local thrift shop and Meals on Wheels. Anyone who met Lola would describe her as a sweet lady.
Friendships were important to her and they were her second family. Others needs always came first. She was a caring, giving and unselfish individual.
Lola will be greatly missed by her 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 -6 pm, Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Surls Funeral Home, 505 Stevens Street, Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls. Burial will follow at St Paul Lutheran Church in Latimer.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 313 Lee Lane, Iowa Falls, 50126.

I met Lola when she was the clerk in Bradford. She was so excited to become the Postmaster when Jan Pralle took another office. We had many talks and spent time together at many postal conventions. She was the sweetest lady! She made an impact in my life! Blessings to you all.

Sorry to hear about Lola's passing. She was always fun to be with. We worked together on the election board so got to know each other pretty well spending 15 hours together. She will be missed.
