Sorry to hear of your loss. Sherwood was a good man dedicated to many causes. One of these cause was to the creation of Local 333 of the National Postal Mail Handlers Union, representing mailhandlers in the state of Iowa. Wood was the Insurance Rep. responsible for signing up Postal and Federal employees to the health plan. In addition he used his expertise and knowledge to handle insurance problems for members who may have been unable to handle such issue. His efforts insured the local had the economic resources to represent mailhandlers and greatly improve their working conditions. He was good enough at his job, competing health plans attempted to hire him on several occasions. The members of Local 333 should be thankful for his efforts. For over 30 years it was a pleasure and honor to have know and worked with Wood.
