As a teenager in Windsor Heights, I lived next door to Steve and we visited a great deal in the couple years that he was there. I was struck by his intellect and I believe he influenced me to always ask "Why?". He was also the first gay person that I knew and, from an early age, I learned tolerance and acceptance and I thank you, Steve, for that. I briefly met Julie (circa 1972) but did not know any of his family but my heart goes out to them and, of course, to his partner, Eisa. May you all find peace and comfort. I know I'm a better person to have known Steve.
