Not sure what to say?

Worked for Scooter way back at his roofing gigs. Only lasted a summer since I was about out of high school, but it left a lasting impression. I´ll never forget the secret Ft Worth donut spot he took me to. Place was a time capsule of deliciousness. They only sold glazed and chocolate. You were only allowed a half dozen(if memory serves) and the line was always out the door. Ed is responsible for me having the BEST donuts I´ve ever tasted to this day!
Good times!

Ed I don't think you realize the influence you had on me growing up. It has been six years, I still remember as a kid you coming by the house just to visit, and after losing my mom, You stepped in and gave me someone to talk to, I still remember standing outside ROPD and crying with you and Dee and I was in pieces, you always told me if I needed to talk you were there. I still to this day have the upmost respect for you and Paul, Both of you gave me great wisdom to think about. I could not have ever asked for better friends to have as mentors in my life

I attended one of the finest sendoffs ever yesterday for a trusted friend of 50+ years. Edward (SCOOTER) Sherif... He knew what he wanted to be as a teen, a peace officer ,a great choice for him because inside his head was the scales of justice. Over three decades of distinguished service after the Army shows he was not just a cop but an honest Lawman. I've always been proud of him for many reasons. And I will miss him until the day I enter the pearly gates so many great memories hunting, fishing ,school days fighting bullies and each other but remained best friends always. I now pray the LORD's peace and strength for every troubled heart concerning our Dear Brother in CHRIST. Love and best wishes in the days ahead. Gene Kenderdine

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Ed's death. My brother and I fished at Richland-Chambers a lot and Ed's camp was next to ours. He was always happy and glad to see us. We all had many good times camping and fishing with him. He was truly a good and wonderful person to hang out with and we will all miss him dearly. It was a blessing knowing Ed and being able to call him a good friend. Our thoughts and prayers are for his family. Rodney and Randy Mitchell.

Ed I still remember the night I sat in dispatch and you came and told me that you felt old, since you knew me as a small child and now I was your dispatcher. I have such fond memories of you Ed. I still remember the day that you told me that you got"THIS CARD THAT IS SUPPOSED TO GIVE YOU MONEY AT THE MACHINE" would I come and help you figure it out. Bud, you always had a smile on your face, I don't think you had any enemies. May you rest in peace, as we know Heaven is a safer and better place because of you. Tomorrow will be a hard day to see you laid to rest

I met Scooter in 1974 and a kinder sweeter man I have never met since. He would share whatever he had with everyone. He was part of a large wonderful group and friends and loved to play baseball, picnic, dance, eat and generally share good times with great friends. He will remain in our hearts forever with the memories of great days gone by. We love you Scooter and our prayers are with your family for the lose they have suffered.

Ed Sherif worked with some of us when we were teens. We were in the River Oaks Safety Explorers and he showed us how a true police officer was. He alway answered any questions that any of us had. If we ever were there without a smile he always enlightened the day. Ed Sherif always had faith in me. Ed Sherif will truley be missed but never forgotten.
