Jessie Lewis Crockett, 66, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Sagamore Baptist Church, 2301 Dottie Lynn Parkway, Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Kidney Foundation. Jessie was a Vietnam War veteran. He also had a distinguished career as a radio disc jockey for many years. Survivors: His wife of 46 years, Joyce; children, Jeffrey (Carita), Patricia and Paula; grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr., Destini, Christopher and Shayla; and sister, Delores Davis.
