JW and family,
Some of the BEST memories that I have of my entire teaching career were those as Gayla's 6th grade teaching partner in Weatherford. She taught the ELA/SS and I taught the Math/Science. She did love her family and I felt like I knew each of you through her. She was so very excited as each new grandbaby was born. She shared lots of stories and we laughed as she retold them. Remember the time you went fishing, Jay, with a buddy instead of attending her class? Faculty meetings were a blast with Gayla there! Then she transferred to the middle school. My loss was actually a gain on a personal note, for she taught my son AP English. He loved having her as his teacher as I'm sure was the testimony of all kids that had her as a teacher. She touched so many lives and I'm a better person for having been partnered with her. Thanks for the memories, Gayla. I love you!!
