Charley was a kind and caring friend and co-worker. I won't ever forget his willingness to help whenever he could.

Our family spent many hours at the fields watching Charlie work and umpire so young people could enjoy quality Little League. What a fine example he was to all the boys and girls as well as their parents, and everyone who knew him. My deepest sympathy to Bette and the children.

Charlie was always nice to me. I was so appreciative of his kindness. I am also thankful that my boys had such a sweet, loving Papaw.
I was sad to read of Charlie's passing.I enjoyed working with him at the Western Hills Little League for several years. He turned the program around and many boys and girls enjoyed playing ball.He umpired many games for my team and Betty was always there supporting him and their children.He was a fine man.
I met Charlie in 1986 and he has always their when I needed him for any issue.
His memory will linger on.
