Kay Berrey and his family were a large part of my happy childhood. I remember Sunday evenings gathering after church to relax and socialize. For me, it was wonderful to have more children my age at Arlington Heights. Laura, I remember we were close in age and as friends. Elizabeth, I remember walking home from AHHS and the conversations we enjoyed. Karen and Susan, you were younger, but part of my life as well. Your parents were kind and loving--a blessing to AHBC. I know I am late in acknowledging your loss, but I've thought about you often. I'm sure God has comforted you with happy memories.
My husband and I loved both of your parents from our time in their respective Sunday School classes at Birchman. Your parents were wonderful, godly people who are greatly missed.

Bro. Berrey will be sorely missed, but will be remembered with a smile. First met Bro. Berrey and family at Arlington Hts. Baptist Church in the '60s when he was the Minister of Education and Edna, his wife, sang in the choir. Lost contact for a few years due to move out of state, when I returned to Ft. Worth, I joined another church. After awhile I ended up at Birchman Baptist where he and his wife attended. Was so good to see dear friends again. We used to sit together some at worship and catch up on each other's lives. He was a close friend to my famly. Will never forget his sense of humor and his impact on our lives.
