When I think of Love, I think of the Howard family. I was so fortunate to become friends with Marsha as a young girl. Growing up together and seeing the love and devotion of her parents made a lasting impression. Sharing in our marriages, showers, births of our children and their weddings. My memories are of Mr, Howard's laughter, smile and witty personality, his positive outlook and love he gave freely. May his wonderful life bring you comfort and please know he was loved deeply. What a reunion there will be in Heaven one day. Love Always to each of you ... I carry you all in my heart.

Dear Howard family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My dad, Doyle "Heavy" Harmon, and Joe were friends and did lots of business together. All of the lumber in our home came from his lumber company. He was a very nice man and highly regarded. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Aunt Lorinda, Marsha, Malia, Scott, Gary, and Matt:
I am truly sorrowful for your loss.
When I look back to those who imparted positive influence in my life, my uncle Joe Howard stands clearly in the forefront - even though I grew up miles away from Fort Worth. Joe's achievement and love of humanity has been and will continue to be a great source of inspiration for me.
I will hold you each in my thoughts and prayers.

May God hold each of you in his love and warmth in the days to come.

I have so many sweet memories of The Howard Family when I was growing up. Joe Howard, had a smile with a twinkle in his eye that could brighten anyones day! My memory of him walking down the sidewalk with his golf bag thrown over his shoulder with a smile on his face will be in my minds eye forever! No doubt he's teeing off in heaven right now!

Love,

Joe and my dad were long time friends as well as competitors in the lumber business. His daughter, Marsha, and I have been friends since we were five. I am very fortunate to have known Joe, the man with a genuine smile and ready laugh. Now Joe and my daddy are probably sitting around talking lumber and building talk. We will see them again when The Lord calls us home. Much love and prayers to the whole family. I am blessed to have known you all.

My Grandfather worked for Mr. Howard, his name of S.F. Stephenson and he retired from Joe Howard Lumber in 1977. I wish i could have talked with Mr. Howard and told him how much he meant to my Grandad and to our family.

Marsha, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. But it did give me the opportunity to reconnect with you and Gary after all these many years. Your parents marriage must have been wonderful because it lasted so long, as does your's and Gary's. Again, I am very sorry for your loss. Karon Casey (Ward Casey's widow)
