Jerry was a very special person and was loved by all who knew him. He worked and helped those who didn't ask because he knew who needed his help and he gave his expertise freely. He was our friend.
Jerry served others with good will and decency and humor. He was a joy to work with and I will miss him. Prayers for Gloria and all his family and friends at this sad time. May he rest in peace.
Thinking of you. Hugs and lots of love.
The death of a dear one, like Jerry, is a trying time for those who know that the world will not be the same without him. Jerry brought so many happy memories in the life of the Eggers Family and left us with a treasure trove of memories and gratitude. I will always remember how he would always go above and beyond to help at Metroplex Baptist. He would always haul the sound system to church and never complain about the weight. He had an amazing ability with anything electrical. ..in fact he saved my mom and dad's house from burning down due to electrical problems. …Always willing to help, that's Jerry. He always had a smile on his face. Those are the kind of things that he will be remembered for – Making people smile and helping in any way that he could. He will have so many crowns. My dad, Rev Bob Eggers, thought the world of Jerry, as we all did. It's going to be very difficult to think of the world without Jerry. There is a happy thought knowing that he is in heaven with his good friend, Bro Bob. I know dad gave him a big bear hug.
We are praying for you in this difficult time.

I was greatly saddened to read of Jerry's death here but rejoiced at his entrance into the presence of the Lord. Though I'd not had contact with Jerry and Gloria in years, I have many pleasant recollections of our times as youths at Valley View Baptist Church. Jerry was one of several of us guys- with Jimmy Wallace, Joe Patterson, and me- who felt lead to be preachers and endeavored to prepare for that work and to live lives pleasing to the Lord. In addition to being a wizard with all-things electronic, Jerry always had a cool car, whether the Packard, the Mercury, or the Mustang! He was an exemplary Christian gentleman and good friend. I regret not having had contact in recent years. Our prayers are with you, Gloria, and the rest of your family.
Jerry was a true Christian gentleman and as fine a friend as anyone could have. He will be missed here until we see him again there. Gloria and the family are in our prayers. Joe and Jean
Jerry was a kind, gentle, soft spoken man who was always ready to laugh. Gloria, I'm very sorry for your loss and for our loss. Jerry was a good friend.
Gloria and girls, I am thinking and sending prayers your way. Jerry was absolutely the smartest man I knew. He could wire anything up and make it work. I am so glad I grew up with him at valley view Baptist church ..he was a true Christian friend. I can still see him running up to fix a speaker that wasn't just right, or a microphone that wasn't working. I'm sure he's fine tuning things in Heaven now ..love you all
Gloria I know what you are going through and know that the Lord will sustain you. I always had fun working with Jerry and I know he always liked meeting my snakes when he was running wires in the ceiling and other places. I could always count on him for help. He will be missed.
Jerry is one those people who touched so many lives with a lasting impression. He was just an all out good person and you can't help feeling honored to know him. My heart goes out to the family because of their loss but heaven has truly gained a humble, honest, and good man.
Jerry was a treasure to all of us who worked with him at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. I'm so sorry for your loss, Gloria. My heart goes out to you and your family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Peace be with you Gloria. Jerry was a shining light... Charlie Walter
Gloria, please know I hold you and your family in my prayers. I am honored to have known and worked with Jerry.
Gloria and girls. We are so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. It just won't seem right...he has always been one of the first ones we have seen at different events. You are in our prayers and will continue to be. God bless you and may you find comfort and rest in his love. We love you...Edith & Sammye and families
