Ed & Lee and families--We are so sorry for your loss and the loss of both your parents. Our community is lessened by their passing. We miss them as friends and customers. John & Joyce Thompson
Fort Worth has lost an outstanding member of our community. Nancy's family has lost a lovely Mother who encompassed her family within her loving arms. We who knew her consider her family. We will all greatly miss her. My heart goes out to the family for your loss.
Thank you so very much for giving downtown back to the people of Fort Worth. 30 years ago one didn't go downtown after dark. It was dangerous. The Bass family has been integral in restoring downtown. Thank you Mrs. Bass for raising such a wonderful family that is dedicated to our wonderful city. Godspeed, Mrs. Bass
The memory of the righteous will be a blessing...(Proverbs10;7,NIV)...to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share(1Timothy,6:18).Thank YOU,First Lady Nancy Lee Bass for your generosity and kindness to Fort Worth,Tx.My prayers and deepest sympathy go out to the family.
Thank you Mrs Bass for making Fort Worth such a great place to live. God Bless You always
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Lots of love,
Leading by example is the thought that comes to mind when thinking of Mrs. Bass and her extended family. As a mother, I am often reminded of the example I set for my children...may her legacy continue today and always via her children and grandchildren. She has left an indelible mark on our great city.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
My Aunt - Francis Smith - went to elementary school at Lilly B. Clayton with Nancy Lee Muse in the 1930's. When Dr. Harold Beasley retired from the practice of ophthalmolgy in 1979, I was asked to assume the ophthalmic care of Nancy Lee and Perry Bass. Over the next 25 years I got to know them pretty well. They were both very kind and humble people who grew up in the great depression. She will always be the first lady of Fort Worth.
To Ed: Sorry for your loss. Bob Bruce, here, your fellow laborer at KFJZ Radio. Treasures lost, memories retained.

DILLOW/WILLIAM JAMES MIDDLE SCHOOL).
A gracious soul who welcomed this stranger to Fort Worth with her endearing Southern manner; a bright spirit whose departure will leave a bit of an emptiness behind that will no doubt be filled by the warmth of her memory.
Truly an angel....

I've never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Bass ... but she did something too few parents do. She and her husband possessed an empathy and passion so great for their community that they led by example for their sons and others to our community's great benefit. I can think of no greater gift than to give so generously to others simply for the sake of making the world a healthier, safer, wiser and kinder place to live. Thank you Bass family for the years of love you've given us and all that is to come!
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to you at this most difficult time. The Bass family has given Fort Worth a true legacy of culture & art. As citizens of the community we appreciate all that your Mother has done and you continue to do. Thank You! Our thought and prayer's are with you.
We are thankful for the Bass family and the light they have brought to our city. We honor the memory of Mrs. Bass. She was a blessing to all of us who lived here.
What a privilege it was for me to know Mrs. Bass. She was the epitome of a great lady, who loved her family and community and cared for those she never met. One of those was my own daughter, who benefited from a Sid Richardson Foundation scholarship for which I am forever grateful. Her example inspired me throughout the years. I send my personal sympathy to all her family and may memories of her greatness and love give you comfort in the coming years.
My condolence to the Bass family. I will always remember Nancy and Perry Bass as the parents of Fort Worth.
I am a resident of Desoto tx. I have lived in DFW most of my live and have enjoyed reading of Ms. Bass good works in the community and have admired her for it. I am sadden by her passing, she will be missed. Her family will be my prayers
I wish to extend my condolences to the Bass family on the passing of a Fort Worth treasure, both for myself, who loved her love of the arts, and on behalf of my organizations, The Fort Worth Police Historical Association and the North Fort Worth Historical Society and Stockyards Museum. Thank you for all you have done for Fort Worth, it's history and it's arts.
God has place in haven for you. GOD BASS FAMILY. SONNY & KAREN NORRELL
It was my rare honor and privilege to know Nancy Lee and Perry when I was project manager for construction of their Westover Hills residence in 1950.They were kind and friendly to me over these many years and affectionately and uniquely addressed me as "Frankie".
Fort Worth will be forever grateful for their exceptional generosity, love and interests in so many of its aspects.
Nancy Lee was an exceedingly gracious lady who will be greatly missed by her fine sons, their famiies, and a legion of admirers.
Thanks for everything. FW is enriched by you and your family.
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Bass. This is a tragic day for the city of Fort Worth. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Bass personally, but I have a great respect and admiration for her. When I was 24 years old I was hospitalized at Harris Methodist Fort Worth were ,and was diagnosed with Chronic obstructive Pulmonary Disease and wasn't expected to survive long. The Bass Family Stepped in and paid for my hospitalization, medications, and my o2 rental for which I am extremely thankful towards the Bass family as I know for certain without her help I wouldn't have survived and I am extremely thankful for the extra thirteen years I was given due to the compassion Of Nancy Bass. Fort Worth has suffered a great loss with her passing.. I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the family
May God bless and comfort this family that has done so much for others. The Fort Worth area is truly blessed to have the Bass family.
Humanitarian, Thank You!! May God give your family Peace!!
To The Bass Family:
May God comfort and strengthen you upon the loss of your dear mother.
Fort Worth, Texas
It is sad to lose such a lovely lady, after we lost her sweet husband just a few short years back. Every time I go to the Bass Hall, I don't know if anybody noticed, or not, but, in the ceiling of the Bass Hall, in the clouds, are two birds flying together. I like to think of them as Mr. and Mrs. Bass flying together. Fort Worth is not going to be the same without one of its major matriarchs. My heart goes out to Ed and his brothers, relatives, friends, and acquaintances. Mrs. Bass will be terribly missed, and never forgotten.
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
Thank you for living "for it is better to give than receive"
Thank you so much for giving so much to the city of Fort worth, Texas
