I went to him for 43 years on a regular basis...loved that man like a Dad. I'm grateful for everything he did for me health wise and his kindness to me always. They just didn't make them any better. So sorry to the family and sorry I didn't know about it until today.
Norm was a special friend , classmate and teammate at Lane Tech. Early in life Norm was kind and helpful. Bill (Mercantelli) Merci
NORM AND I WENT TO LANE TECH IN CHICAGO AND PLAYED FOOTBALL TOGETHER IN 1946 AND 1947. UNLIKE OTHER TYPICAL STUDENTS NORM WAS A TRUE GENTLEMAN AND LIKED BY ALL. THE LAST TIME WE WERE TOGETHER WAS AT LANE'S 60TH REUNION WHERE WE SPENT HOURS TOGETHER AT NAVY PIER EATING CHOCOLATE SUNDAYS. I ALSO HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF HAVING LUNCH WITH HIM IN DALLAS THREE YEARS AGO. TO HIS FAMILY I AM DEEPLY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS.
So sorry to hear about the passing of Norman. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
