I received news he was gone last night. Brian,Ruth & your daughters. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I am delighted he had grandchildren & people with him who recognized how exceptional he was on this planet.He was truely my best friend most of our lives.
I will miss knowing that he is in our world. Bob was an amazing friend to our family. I will never forget the wonderful music we shared and going through the "Dylan Bible" with him.
20 years ago, I was promoted to Bob's Assistant at Tandy National Parts. I had previously known him as an extended family friend. Working for him was a true joy. He was one of the most amazing people I have ever known. Love and prayers to Ruth, Brian and all of those who will experience the loss of him.
He was a man of great complexity and compassion. He made the mere words smart and talented go to a whole new level! He gave much and expected little in return. He gave us his art, his music, his woodworking skills, his mentoring, his cooking skills, hunting and fishing skills, I could go on. We have lost a great man, brother, husband,father,uncle, cousin! But he will live on in our hearts, because he loved much, that I know for sure! Until we meet again my dear brother, love you!
We grew up around the corner from Ross and Dorothy. Robert and his sisters were a little older than me and my brothers, but our families had good times together. Robert always had a smile on his face. The whole family for that matter. I will never forget. We are sorry for your loss. My brother would run into Robert from time to time because we live in Springtown. Please let everyone know that Mike and Judy Polston (Raymond and Nina Polston's children) are thinking about them. Bob was a good friend and mentor to me for over 35 years. I am still grateful for his wisdom and kind heart. I'm sure where he is now the fishing is great! Blessings to the family in this time of loss.
