I have wonderful memories of working on cases with Robert (usually with Joetta Keene), trying unsuccessfully to have them clean up their language and laughing with both of them. He was passionate about doing a great job on those cases. I also remember how proud he was of his daughter and her cello (i think?) skills. We would talk about music as he loved opera and I sang with the Dallas Symphony Chorus. I still think of him and miss working with him.

To the Ford Family, I am deeply saddened by the loss of Mr.Ford. He worked on my son's appeal several years ago. He was a great lawyer and he believed in getting to the truth. I know he is in heaven smiling down on all of us. May you find comfort in knowing that Robert was loved by so many of his clients. Judy Stafford

Kiki Ford informed me today (2-2-12) of Bob's passing. Sorry for your loss, Mrs. Ford. As Bob's criminal investigator (former police officer) for the past 6 years, I had grown to admire, respect, and love him. He change my views of the prosecution after being a minor part of his work in finding the truth.

Bob inspired me and those around him at the courthouse to engage in our daily work with passion and vigor. I will miss his energetic presence across the courtroom. I hope Kiki and Bob's family are comforted by many happy memories and that he loved you so much.

Bob was the epitomy of a great man. I remember fondly the days we worked together. He was an outstanding lawyer, a devouted family man, and a friend to all who knew him. My sincerest sympathy goes out to all in their time of mourning.

God has called home a true warrior who has both touched and saved many lives. His life was a true beacon to the world. He was a wonderful human being who saw the good in every one, not just the slef righteous. I was privileged to have known him.

May God bring comfort to you, Kiki, and Bob's children. It was a joy to work with Bob on cases (as a psychologist);and to talk with him about classical music, opera, and his beloved children.

My heartfelt sympathy to Kiki and her family. I visited with Bob for the first and as it turns out the "last time" at the Ford home on Dec. 1. I mentioned that my husband was a lawyer, but their paths had never crossed since my husband was in corporate law. How quickly our lives can change!

I always told Bob he was a cross between a yappy Chihuahua arguing his clients' position in a frenetic manner and a slick poker player … always trying to get me to better his client's position while holding his hand close to the vest (and hiding what he could). I am less than I was with his passing and I send my deepest sympathies to his family. –Kelly Goodness

While being in the "law trailer" with Bob he taught me so many lessons about life, family and purpose. He showed me how and why we fight for others, regardless. Above all he always made me laugh!

Bob was more than a "gentleman and a scholar". For many of us who practiced law with him we held him in awe. We at the Courthouse will miss him. He always had time to greet us sincerely. I wish I had known him better. Such a wonderful person!!!

I had the pleasure of getting to know Bob while working for the District Clerks Office. He always brought a smile to our faces and we always loved listening to his stories. The world lost a brilliant man. May he rest in peace.

I only got to meet Bob once, while visiting Texas. He is my cousins husband (our condolances Kiki & kids). In my brief time with Bob I found him to be kind, courteous and welcoming. His sense of humor was exceptional, bar none, and his outlook on life was the same! I only wish I had gotten to know him better. Molly Ivans now has someone to hang out with (a fellow Texan too)!

Bob was truly a courageous and fearless lawyer. I always learned something everytime I talked to him. He suffered no fools and was always willing to take on the powerful in defense of the powerless. I was honored to have known him and to have called him my friend. My sincere condolences to his family.

I am so thankful to have been able to know Bob. His work ethic and sense of humor were infectious. The lives he impacted are countless and will continue to be shown for years to come. I can't see a kite in the sky without thinking of Bob and I don't think that will change.
