Dear Wanda, Luanne, Ashley and Family - As you already know, Johnnie and each one of you have been our extended family for many years, not just musically but personally as well. The special times we have had together will always be treasured and special. Johnnie's influence on our musical and personal lives, his support and his special friendship have truly made him a mentor to us. He was a very, very special man in every way. We will forever cheerish all our special times together and we are thankful that we have been blessed to have worked so closely with Johnnie. I know that your long-time friends, Sam & Sue Monzingo, and our children, Tim & Amy Jeter and Andy & Amy Marcontell all join us in expressing our heartfelt sympathy as well as our deep love and appreciation to the Family. We Love You Very Much!

I am so sorry to learn of Johnnie's death. Back in the mid 40's we lived outside McGregor and around the bend from "Big Johnnie", Gertrude, "Little Johnnie" and Wanda. My sister and my two brothers and I had a lot of fun times playing baseball with Johnnie and Wanda. He was a sweet man and never forgot people from his past. He'll be missed. My sympathy to all his family.
