My heart is aching today for you and your family. I cannot imagine the loss you are feeling; but may the knowledge that others are praying for you, loving you in spirit, and holding you close in heart help ease the pain a little. I have a son who is a police officer, and I lost a nephew several years ago in the line of duty, so your loss really touches home. May God give you comfort, peace, and wisdom as you continue on with your life, minus one.

I only knew of him, but I know a few who did know him and what a great man he was. I can't imagine what his family is going through my heart breaks for y'all. He lived his life as a hero to his family and his community, I hear he give his life being a hero, for a stranger, someone else's kid. I don't know how someone can do that, but i'm not a hero, they're very rare and very special. Thank God for men and women like Sgt. McLean. My prayers are with his wife, mother, children, family, friends, everyone who is hurting right now you have a community behind you and while it can't come close to replacing him I hope you can find some comfort.
