Dearest Sharon, I am so sad to hear about L. G's demise. He was a mentor and advocate to our family and did everything he could to help my family including my son, Clay who passed away in 2009 and of course my husband Jimmy Gillen who passed away in 2002. I want you to know you and L. G. were a huge inspiration in our lives and also that although I have lost the 2 loves of my life that I am happy and thriving in a new life with a wonderful man who loves and takes care of me. I will always remember the special moments we shared and hope that you are in a good place yourself after a great loss....... Love Candy Gillen

Sharon - L.G. was a good man - a big man - a great man who took it on himself to take care of people who couldn't help themselves. Always generous, always helpful, but never intrusive, he'd do his best to make you feel better, while doing the unsavoury, down-to-earth necessities with steadfast integrity. As someone else on here said, he told it like it was and had a heart of gold. Both proud and humble at the same time, a man who faced and dealt with the reality of things - when you met him, you knew you were in Texas. One of the stalwart bulwarks who I took for granted in my life - he will definitely be in heaven now. I hope he's having a great time up there and Heaven is prepared for his big voice and big hat. Dad and Mother will be giving him a big welcome. I can hear him laughing now. But I'll still shed a tear that he's gone.

Honesty, integrity, gentleman. I have only known L.G. for five years, but he exemplified what a Bail Bondsman should be. My utmost repect for this "Southern Gentleman" what he has taught me in this business, I will treasure always. Condolences to his family. We were all blessed to have known him.
