When I was about 6, my father's business took us to Edmonton. One day (and several to come) a football player was visiting him and he was very nice to 7-year old me. It was the first time I had felt stirrings of romantic crushes...he was my first Big Crush. I am 71 now, and still his name remains in my heart. In my morning meditation, I realized that I should google him. My condolences to all of your who are living with the emptiness of the loss of your obviously dear husband, father, grandfather and in-law. He seems a fine human being. It touches me that I felt that goodness even as a child.

I was a member of Bible Study Fellowship BSF
with Lindy for several years. I grew up in Wichita Falls and he kidded me about he and I moving back and starting a BSF there.
He was truely a man of God and my heart goes out to his family.

He was a man of his word, always had great wit and you couldn't help but smile with him. A man I will always remember. Worked with him through BMS and daughter Judy. Lois Matus Frazier, Southlake Tx

He was a really neat guy and wonderful friend. I first saw him play in the greatest football game I ever saw--a 19-19 tie between TCU & SMU when I was in the 9th grade. He & Doak Walker were sensational that day and Doak never ever beat Lindy in the three games they played against each other. He will be missed.
