To the Cooper Family . . . When you leave home you miss a lot. I missed the opportunity to pay my respects to a dear man who always treated me as one of his own. Seems he was that way with so many people. I had the utmost respect for Sgt. Cooper and your mother. What dear, sweet Christians . . . we are far better for having known them. May God bless you now and in the days to come.

how wonderful and strange. I was just researching civil rights from 1944 to the present and while trying to find Fort Worth's first black officers, I found this obituary. On behalf of anyone who recognizes the changes in society since 1953 I thank Mr. Cooper for everything he did. Although I did not know him, I am sure his journey was not easy. Thank you... May the peace and love of Christ be with you and your family

To the family and friends of Mr Cooper, He epitomized human greatness and goodness. He leaves an awesome legacy behind. But what he leaves behind pales in comparison to what lies before him. Because of his faith in Jesus Christ, he now stands in the very presence of God almighty to praise Him throughout eternity. If any would see him again, they must first come to know Jesus. Valorie, Jimmy, Adrian, Larry and the rest of the family, keep the faith. God be with you all.
