I met Madlyn when she was eight and I was ten, and I last saw her in 1957. The smile in her photograph says it all--a wonderful person. I won't forget her.

Joe, Sorry for the loss of your beloved wife.
From friends at Martin UMC Bedford, TX
June 27, 2014
I met Madlyn at Meadow Crest Early Learning Center where I was the project manager for the design/construction of the facility, to which she was excited to be a part of. Right away it was apparent that she was a caring person. She was very supportive of women working in fields that are predominantly men and commended me for doing so. Encouragement not commonly found and greatly appreciated. Immediately we had something in common. We both had lived in the south. We shared stories about the southern way of life, the differences compared to the West Coast and what happens when you spend extended time in either. I may not have known her very well or for very long, but her presence will stay with me. I feel blessed to have met her at all. My thoughts go out...may loved ones find comfort at their time of need.
