We were shocked to see Paul's obituary. We remember Buddy's chicken and the trip to the farm.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to you all.

Paul was such a brilliant writer and dear person. I will never forget the fun and laughter we all shared during our time in Port Aransas with him and his sweet wife Sandy. Godspeed,Paul!
God Bless your family.

A quarter-century ago Paul was a part of a thriving group of historians/journalists and lovers of Texas while we all lived in Goliad, Texas. It was my great pleasure to experience Paul's friendship. My fervent prayers and deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Please accept my condolences. Paul and I worked together in the Advertising Copywriters group of The Dallas Morning News. He was a brilliant guy -- I loved his sense of humor and knowledge and remember how much love he expressed for all his children and family. Take care. - Bob Pittman
