I just heard about this today! Made me very sad! I loved Mary Lee and Richard dearly!
June 4, 2014
Richard & I have been friends since the 4th grade. We spent many a day at each others house, joined the Navy Reserve together in 1953. We started in electronics together at Tech High in 1951 and worked at TV-Radio shops on Camp Bowie at the same time. In June 1954 I went in the Navy and Richard was a National Guard
employee by then. He introduced me to my wife Mavis when I was home on leave and her TV was broken. Both of us are longtime Radio Amateurs, Richard is K5ZIC. Later we spent years on the Gulf Coast and we kept up with each other by phone and mail. I think I last saw Richard & Mary Lee at their 25th reunion. We talked a few weeks ago after Mary Lee died. Thanks to you family members for helping Richard & Mary Lee in their old age! God's Grace to you.
