Well, today marks the thirteenth anniversary of the day you left us and all our lives changed forever. The world has not and will never be the same without my sweet son here. You took part of each of us with you and left behind hearts so broken. To never see that handsome face, crooked smile or feel those amazing Scotty hugs is more than I can stand. All that keeps me going is knowing some day, I will be with you again. Better than it ever was on earth. Just know how much I love you and miss you. I pray you are at total peace and happy with all your grandparents. I love you, my sweet son...always and forever, Mom

Happy 44th Birthday, my sweet boy. Your 13th in heaven. We miss you so much, honey. Taylor just returned from a trip like you and your friends went on to Montana. I have pictures of him on horseback in the forest and snow like yours, so we are putting together a special father/son photo grouping. He is so proud that I had those pictures. He loves you so much and still carries his mutton bustin belt buckle with him all the time. We just figured out that it was one of yours you had supplied that night to make him proud of his first accomplishment. That meant so much to him! You were a good and loving dad, and I know you watch over him. He is so much like you and truly misses his dad. And...he is a bit fearless like you, so you need to watch over him extra well.

He has applied to work on a ranch in Colorado...he is following his dream. Stephanie and I both wish you had. Maybe things would have been different. I am so sorry you are not here...you two would be quite a team. We all miss you and love you so much, son!

Just know I am sending you the warmest birthday wishes ever and wish I could have one of your Scotty hugs. Get Grandmother and Granddaddy to give you birthday hugs and kisses from me, please. I love you, baby...always and forever...Mom

Merry Christmas, my sweet boy...oh, how you are missed. It isn't Christmas without my sweet Scotty. I know you are happy being with all your grandparents, honey, but the hole left here is so big. I miss your handsome face, that crooked Scotty grin and your big bear hugs so much!

Enjoy your Christmas in heaven and know that we love you so much and miss you so much on earth. Taylor is a grown man...so handsome and so smart. You are proud of him I know.

Until we see you in heaven, remember your mama loves you, honey...always and forever!
