His family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family has given the option to donate to help support their son, Taylor, through the Knight Continuing Education Fund. Later while working full time, he attended and graduated cum laude from Colorado Technical University with a bachelor of science in business administration management. Pat enjoyed a busy life serving others by becoming a paramedic in emergency medical services. He started his service at Ray Crowder in the mid-1970s and then continued working with Mid-Cities EMS where he remained until 1987. Following Mid-Cities, he continued his calling and went to work for MedStar as operations manager. In 2000 he went to Arlington EMS where he continued to work as operations manager until 2006. In late 2006 he went to work for Cook Children's Medical Center providing medical services to children. At the time of his death he was working for the state of Texas. Pat loved EMS, the people he worked with and the community he served. Those who knew him could recognize him through his distinctive laugh. Although no longer with us, his laugh will continue through our memories. Dannie
You and I have never met, but I knew your husband quite well. We were partners at Mid Cities 35 years ago. He was my first regular partner as a new EMT and we worked station 3 together in unit 414. We were short staffed at the time and there was no opposite shift, so we just stayed there working, 24 hours a day, day after day, and raked in the overtime! Eventually I was assigned another shift and then to another station, and life moved on. But they were the good days of youth. So long ago but it seems like only yesterday. He was a good man and we had many good times. I have always intended to pick up the phone or try arranging a visit when in Ft Worth. I wish I had, but there is no going back. And I wish I could be there today to pay my respects to my old friend, but the practicalities of life just won't allow it to happen. So I will just tell you what you already know. Pat was a good man and he will be missed, even by a guy who he hasn't seen in more than 3 decades and who lives 1500 miles away. Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss and know that there are many prayers for you and your family.

God Bless you all,

Mr. Knight will be greatly missed at the La Gran Plaza Office. His laugh always made me laugh and smile, and he loved sweets.
