To Diane. I am tearful as I just found out Dick had passed nearly two years ago now. I was always amazed when I received a Christmas card from you two! I never expected anything return! I will never forget the first time I met John, Dick and Steve after my first concert experience at the Swing Auditorium in beautiful San Bernardino, CA! I last communicated with Dick a few years ago by mail. He had told me he would be performing with PP&M in Escondido, CA that fall. I was planning to attend but Mary became ill and the concert was cancelled. She passed not long after that. The world has lost a wonderful, kind hearted man and an amazingly talented musician. I will never forget his kindness or yours Diane. I will miss him as I miss John. The music lives on! It makes me sad to listen sometimes. John's music got me through my really tough teen years. Dick and the other musicians were all a part of
my life too. I realized the other day John would be 70 this year. The world's loss is heaven's gain. Can't wait to see them there. May mercy, peace and
love be multiplied to you. God bless. My deepest sympathy.

I have always said I played with a legend. Only a few times, but I was in awe hearing you play the bass. Your runs were incredible. RIP Dick, you were the best.

Was thinking about Dick yesterday and sending good thoughts, then today saw his obituary....10 months later. Hurts so bad to know he's gone. He used to write me when I was a teen; his friendship made me feel special when I was growing up. I needed that. Such a good hearted, sweet man. Thanks to his family for sharing him with the world. Can't wait to get to Heaven.

I remember the Hollywood Bowl in 1964...that was your first tour With P,P&M. We became friends in 1967 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. You knew how much I loved P,P&M and you always made sure I'd be able to come backstage. More than that, I truly appreciated our friendship. Thank you for the friendship and kindness...rest well now, until we all meet again.

Dear Diane, We just heard the news of Dick's passing. It seems so long ago that you and Dick moved out of your apartment in Queens, so Norm and I could start our married lives together. In the years that followed we were always excited to catch up with you at concerts where Dick was playing. Our condolences to you and your entire family and may your memories of Dick keep you smiling.
All our love,
Ilona and Norm
