Dr. Bateman was one of the most caring people I ever met at Ohio State University. He was my advisor in the College of Education in 1968 to 1971. I needed help and guidance, and Dr. Bateman was there to provide it.
I remember getting closed out of a class that was a sequential course offering, and I pleaded with the bursars office to let me in the class. It would have put off graduation another year. When Dr. Bateman was apprised of this, we marched over to the registrar together, and he got me in that class. We then went back to his office, and planned my next two years of classes. He told me if I ever got closed-out to immediately see him.
He was one of the great people at this university.
I loved Dr. Donald Bateman, and i am eternally grateful to him for his outstanding service to me.
