I was sorry to hear about the death of Dr. Arnold.
My wife, Elsie and I were at the celebration of his 90th birthday.
He was the memorable Family Practitioner in Gahanna before he specialized in Anesthesia at White Cross Hospital.
In 1955,when I finished my OB?GYN. residency training,I began seeing patients in Gahanna on one morning a week at the request of my friend, Dr. Leonard Burman who was a Family practitioner who had
trained at White Cross Hospital .
Over time, my practice grew and I began full time
practice in Gahanna.
For awhile I was the only OB/Gyn. in Gahanna and had the privilege of delivering babies for many Gahanna residents including some of Dr. Johnson's relatives and friends.
In 1955 Leonard Burman, and I were beginning to plan for our future in Medicine. I have been retired since 1992 because of arthritis.
Now, Leonard is gone, and the passing of our friend and mentor, Dr. Arnold is the final chapter in our medical lives.
So, we began our journey, with hopes and plans so long ago, and with the passing of Dr. Arnold our journey has ended.
May God bless you,Arnold
for your friendship, mentoring and help in fulfilling our dreams.

The morning you passed, I stepped out of my car after leaving the hospital. A slight wind swept across my face and I knew the world was a different place. You've always been there, for everything and now that you're gone, I feel very empty. I know you are looking down on us and this makes me smile. To know you, was one of the best experiences I can ever share. I miss you, so much, but I know you are at peace. My heart is heavy, but someday we will see each other again. I love you, Paw Paw. <3

Arnold, you have always provided leadership and guidance for the total Johnson family. You may be a distant cousin but your love and wisdom shined on my life like a big brother. I have always admired how you were able to have a wonderful medical career and raise such wonderful children. You were helped us all grow into better people and I feel a loss that that flame has now went out. Thanks to you and all your wonderful children and grandchildren for being wonderful distant cousins. Having 3 little ones of my own, I will not be able to travel for the life celebration on the 6th but I will be thinks of our good friend, cousin and doctor. Love David and gretchen Johnson
