i'll never forget going to George's house at the gate I pushed the button for the house, a woman answered ans can I help ya, I sang one line, he stopped loving her today and said who did you stop loving,i said I ain't stopped loving George, i'm freddy lee from waterloo iowa I was wondering if he was home maybe he might sign my fiddle,nancy said did you try the barn I said no, she said just a min.a man picked me up on a john deere riding tractor took me to the went inside George was getting his hair cut,stopped and took the time and signed my fiddle, George, I love ya,i still sing your songs at my show.

Nancy I too lost my husband of 60 yes.So hard to say goodbye. Days /nights get long.Funny how we can feel alone,even in a crowd.Still listen to his music.Many old LP'S.Saw him many times.First time at Gr ole opry,last time here in Minn.Dec before he passed.Wasn't feeling so good even then but was a gr show.First time was when he sported a crewcut.
