I just learned of Betty's passing. I was a neighbor as a child on Karl Road. I was friends with Ann. I spoke with Betty a few years back. I have moved around a lot and sadly have not seen them for years.
So sorry to hear of her passing.
I knew Betty and Harold through my mother, Harriett Stovall Clark. She loved and admired them both, as I grew to through our visits at their condo. When Mom knew her time time was near ending, her first request was for help to call her Bettys (2 friends from high school and college), for guidance and to say goodbye. She and Betty were friends for over 60 years.... truly a testimony to Betty's love and devotion to her friendships. Telling Betty of Mom's death was... well, I can still hear her cries.
My first memory of Betty and Harold was when I was little, and recalled them as the very BIG people in the very SMALL house. Their love, humor, loyalty, and wisdom are bigger yet, and I am blessed for knowing them. Peace
She said I was the only one left who called her by both names: Betty Jane. But that's who she was to me and our family. I have many pictures of her and the cousins, lots of notes and letters, and wonderful memories of working together on our family history. She blessed my life and for that, I am thankful.
I will miss your sharp wit and sense of humor. I'll miss our talks and sharing quiet times watching the birds and chipmunks on your patio. Your life was a symphony and I am glad our that our paths crossed. You and Harold were a unique couple and throughout the decades I was always entertained by your conversations. I am glad you both no longer are in pain and feel you are now are a part of the flow of eternal love and peace. Love you and Harold always. We all will miss you.
My sincere sympathy to you. Your dear mother will not be forgotten: she and I were friends for many years and shared memories of Northland High School.
So sorry to hear about your loss. Although we have lost contact over the years, my thoughts and love are with my family and Great Aunt Betty. Please know that I would love to get back in touch with the family. Please contact me at 899-1649...Kim (Deckard)
To Ventling Family,
I too lost my dear Mother at Kobacker House on October 19th. It was so nice to say goodbye to Betty while I was visiting my Mother. Kobacker House is a wonderful place. I understand the incredible void losing a Mother can cause.

I helped take care of Betty and Harold for about a year on Sundays. Betty was very smart and was well read. I loved her wit and humor. She was a very open minded lady who was a pleasure to work for. Sandy Elswick RN
My heart is with the family. I loved Betty and Harold very very much. I got to know them a few years ago, and Betty and I got very close. She added so much to my life and I will never forget her.
She sounds like a great women.

Dear Ann, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathy. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love and miss you. Vicky
Be at peace dear mother. You loved us unconditionally and were always at the center of our family. There's a great void where your laughter and kindness lived. You dwell now in the warm glow of God's love, which gives me comfort.
