Still think of you and your family.

Heather's legacy through her music lives on. I have a granddaughter who is 2 yrs old and as a small 3 month old infant I would play Heather's CD and sing to her. By the time the first two songs were completed my graddaughter would be asleep. And every time she stayed overnight, we would play the CD and when she would come and visit she would request "Na Na" Mamal. In November of 2013, my granddaughter was visiting and she was playing with her dolls and began rocking her doll and singing "Na Na" This is the first song on the CD. Still today my granddaughter needs to hear the Cd to go to sleep when she is here, it has become a grandma and granddaughter tradition. I hope Heather's family reads this and know how much Heather is still touching the lives of so many. She is truely a blessing.

To the family:

I have watched Heather every morning, for many years. She was a hoot and a bright spot to an otherwise dismal start of day. She gave me the conviction to get moving in the morning. If she could be so cheerful, what excuse have I not to be.

I will truly miss her and her winning ways. She is now being used in Heaven to bless the Angels as she has blessed us here on earth.

Take part in knowing this and keep knowing what a treasure you shared with the world. We all thank you so much for your generosity. For you could have pressured her to keep with you and not over exert herself. But, instead you encouraged and supported her desire to live and share.

Have a blessed life and know how very much she was and is loved!

"A strong circle ne'er breaks,
wings of love are ne'er gone,
eternity ne'er forsakes.
Children wrapped in wings,
forever blessed with song,
an angel bird that sings,
her spirit will live on."...
Whenever it rains in the early morning,
I will always remember Heather saying,
"It'll be easy for the birds to
get their breakfast this morning,
all the worms will be out of their holes."
November 22, 2008
Wishing you peace during this tragic time. I was shocked to learn of her death. I have thought about her daily...and the fight in her spirit. rest in peace
November 14, 2008
To have loved one, then lost,
is still better than to have never been so blessed.
To have been enriched by one's cheerfulness,
their memory lingers on.

Their hopes and ideals in the crevices of your mind,
their wisdom is there when you need it.
Whatever was good and noble within your loved one,
they still live through you.

May their life have had purpose and meaning
by keeping their good seed alive.
Only then can we truly say,"In Loving Memory."

God be with you and yours
through this difficult time.

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

May God keep the family that is left behind, Heather was a very storng and caring woman. She will be missed. Lord lift up this family as they need you like never before.
November 13, 2008
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Heather touched everyone in the 10TV viewing area. I lost my mother fours years ago at Christmas time from a rare form of cancer. On her desk I found the following poem and would like to share with your family:

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below,
with tiny lights, like heaven's stars, reflecting in the snow. The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tears, for I am spending Christmas with Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear, but the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas Choir up here. I have no words to tell you the joy their voices bring, for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me. I see the pain inside your heart, but I am not so far away. We really aren't apart. So be happy for me dear ones. You know I hold you dear. And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Christ this year.

I send you each a "special gift" from my heavenly home above. I send you each a memory of my undying love. After all "LOVE" is the gift, more precious than pure gold. It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other, as My Father said to do, for I can't count the blessing or the love He has for you. So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away the tears, remember that I'm spending Christmas with Christ this year.

My heart grieves at the loss of Heather. I've never met her but feel like she is part of my family. I started every morning by watching her on the news. Heather was such an inspiration to me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of this year and I drew alot of strength from Heather by just watching her smiling face every morning while I got ready for work. My treatments are done and my prognosis good - thanks to God and my doctors. Thank you Heather for being such a great inspiration to me and thank you mostly to God and her family for sharing her with us. To Joe, Julia and Jack, may you be comforted by the memories and take pride in all the comfort and kindness Heather showed to others.

November 10, 2008
Heather was a bright light from the moment we met her. She came to Children's Hospital to do a piece on my son and his child life specialist while he was on dialysis, giggling as they played with making volcanos. She was a wonderful woman, who had a lot love to give to children in need, she showed compassion, and was genuinely concerned for my son. I was amazed that she continued contact several times after that, she would stop and see him when was in the hospital, and called me on my cell a few times to check in on him. What an incredible lady, we will all miss her! I guess God needed another angel in heaven, you know he only picks the best ones! So she has a new job that is free of pain and free of cancer. I will be praying for all of you especially Joe, Julia, and Jack.
November 10, 2008
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

God saw she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be;So he put his arms around her and whispered,"Come Follow Me." With tearful eyes we watched her suffer, And saw her fade away: Although we loved her dearly, We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest: God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best!
November 10, 2008
My wife and I watched Heather on 10 TV every morning and noon. She was so full of energy, We never knew she had cancer until she mentioned it on TV one day. November 10, 2008
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I will always remember Heather as she was one of the sweetest people I have ever seen on TV news. My husband, who has now passed away last Oct, 2007, never missed a day watching her on the news clear up to the day that he had no interest in anything. She always left a smile on the faces of those who watched her on TV, She leaves a lot of happy memories to everyone who knew her and especially to those who never met her. I only wish that I had met her in person. She will definitely be missed by all.
Sincerely,

I am saddened to hear of Heather's passing. It is a tremendous loss to many who loved and admired her, but most especially to you and your children. May her laughter and sparkle forever flourish in your heart. This great woman will be greatly missed.

TO " HEATHERS " FAMILY & 10TV FAMILY :

I MET HEATHER AT THE JAMES DURING THE TIME MY ELDEST DAUGHTER WAS GOING THROUGH CHEMO & RADIATION TREATMENTS.

HEATHER WAS ON THE ELEVATOR AND I SAID ARE YOU HEATHER PICK?. SHE SAID YES.

I INTRODUCED HER TO MY DAUGHTER WHO WAS IN A WHEEL CHAIR. MY DAUGHTER STARTED TO CRY. NATALIE HAD " GASTRIC STOMACH CANCER ".

HEATHER IMMEADIATELY TOOK MY DAUGHTER IN HER ARMS AND HELD HER TIGHTLY AND SOFTLY TOLD HER THAT EACH OF THEM WHERE
" WINNERS " AND INVITED HER TO CALL HER AT 10TV ANYTIME.

NATALIE WAS 41 YEARS OLD AND HAS BEEN GONE NOW FOR 2 YEARS, BUT SHE FOUND COMFORT IN JUST THE MENTION OF HEATHERS' NAME.

NATALIES' FAVORITE SLOGAN WAS

" WE ARE WINNERS ".

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE AND WHAT DO WE SAY.
TO DESCRIBE THIS GREAT WOMAN

" HEATHER "

A WIFE, MOTHER ,SISTER AND FRIEND.

IT'S BEEN A LONG JOURNEY AND NOW ALL THE SUFFERING HAS ENDED.

HEATHER FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT AND THE PAIN SHE'LL NEVER FEEL AGAIN.

WE'LL MISS THE SMILES AND JOKES AND ESPECIALLY HER REPORTING THE NEWS SHE SHARED WITH ALL.

TO HER HUSBAND, CHILDREN , BROTHER AND 10TV FAMILY , BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL SEE US THROUGH.

YOU ALL KNOW WHAT WE HAVE TO DO.

TO ALL KEEP HER SPIRIT

"ALIVE ".

DON'T WASTE TIME BECAUSE WHEN WE HEAR THE TRUMPETS SOUND,
WE'LL BE ON A ONE WAY FLIGHT TO SEE " GOD " HEATHER, AND NATALIE AGAIN.

WE HATE TO SEE YOU GO, BUT WE KNOW HEAVEN IS A BETTER PLACE.
SO WHEN YOU SEE HIS FACE.
THANK HIM FOR MERCY AND GRACE.

SO BECOME THAT BEAUTIFUL BUTTERLY AND CRACK OPEN THE COCOON,BECAUSE THIS IS NOT A GOOD - BYE.
IT'S WE'LL FLY UP THERE SOON.

REMEMBER THIS IS A GAIN AND MOST DEFINITELY NOT A LOSS,
BECAUSE " HEATHER PICK " FOR SURE IS :

"NEAR THE CROSS "

MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY.

As I lost my grandmother less than a year ago she had also fought the greatest battle of all with breast cancer. To Heather and her family one day there will be a cure and we will have her to thank for all her hard work. Sadly missed by many....

Heather, Angel of God,now cancer free. You can look down and know that you shared your life and your family with the world. It would have been easier to hide and forget. When things seem tough, I can remember you and others, and move on one day at a time. The hope for the future is one day there will be no more cancer of any kind. Ina

Although I did not know Heather personally, it feels like I did. She was so open about her battle and courageous fight that one couldn't help but feel like part of her family. She was truly a remarkable young woman and an inspiration to all...
My husband and I would watch her and Chuck faithfully every morning while getting ready for work. She will be greatly missed!
Our prayers and deepest sympathy go out to the (Pick) Cygan family! May God be with all of you and may the Holy Spirit wrap love and comfort around you thru this time.
November 10, 2008
There are not enough words to fully express our heartfelt sympathy to your family. Although I never met Heather personally, I felt I knew her by seeing her every morning delivering the news. I so admire how she was a true warrior with her cancer. She not only delivered local news, but the news of cancer and health awareness, gratitude, kindness, compassion, enjoying life to the fullest, and of course to NEVER GIVE UP. She is respected tremendously for all that she represents and the numbers of lives she has touched. God sent her here for a reason - a true messenger, beacon of light, faith, hope and inspiration. She fullfilled God's purpose. The community and I will always remember her. I thank God that she was sent to Columbus, Ohio to share her life here with us. She is a true treasure and will never be forgotten. My prayers for your family to find peace will continue and I will never forget your dear Heather.

With all my heart,

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To the children & husband of Heather . Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to our own understanding , but ackowledge him in all your ways in he will direct your path. Days to come the path will get harder to bear you'll begin to hurt then you'll get angry then you'll mourn then you blame God then you'll get angry all over again then you will mourn again . I know this process all so well i lost both my parents at a young age 6months apart then i lost my grandma 1yr after losing them then i lost my best friend my brother. all the key players in my life were gone in an instant . but because i continued to trust in the Lord he brought me through . i am praying for you guys.

Columbus has lost a true Angel! My heart goes out to Heather's family especially the beloved children who call her Mom.

I have lived in Columbus since 1995. I remember the first time I saw a news broadcast from Heather. I thought to myself what a wonderful and bubbly person to present a news segment. I always enjoyed seeing Heather doing one of the things she did so well...delivering a fantastic story. Channel 10 will not be the same without her charismatic and dynamic personality.

I never met Heather, I am just a viewer of 10tv, and always enjoyed her Pediatric Health source and newscasts. As so many others have said, her smile was contagious, and her warmth and sincerity shone through. What a beautiful person and true champion of those battling cancer.
Heather will be deeply missed by so many. I just cried like a baby when I saw the evening news on Friday, and heard what Jerry, Andrea, and Chuck had to say.
My sincere condolences to her family, friends, and extended 10tv family.

My husband and I being Columbus natives have always enjoyed the expertise of Heather. She was such a bright spot in our day. A real professional.
We retired to Florida in 2006 but our children kept us close.
All of us were so touched by Heather and her efforts to make everything better. God Love Her!!
Our daughter Kelly had breast caner in 2006. It was a real wake up call. Kelly was very strong and told us that Heather was her Hero. We already knew that she was a "Soldier" and she fought the good fight. What an understatement!
She gave Kelly the spirit and grace to follow her lead.
Thank the Lord Kelly is still doing well but I am certain that Heather is vey much a part of her strength.
God Rest her Blessed Soul.

Dear 10TV crew and Family of Heather Pick,
My husband and I watched the morning 10TV news before getting ready for work. When we didn't see her for awhile, we knew something was up, and hoped for the best for her. We are sorry to see such a bright, cheerful young woman pass away at such a young age, and she will be missed and remembered. God's peace to you all. It reminded me when one of my nurse coworkers was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 33. She had surgery to biopsy it, and the surgery postop period became complicated, she had to be taken off of life support. She was an organ donor and left behind two young sons. To this day, we remember Jennifer on our nursing unit by having quarterly or annual awards given to a deserving staff member who is compassionate and goes above and beyond to be kind and deliver care to patients and coworkers. They receive the Jennifer's Angel award. That award means a lot to us as we remember the kind, caring person she was. Perhaps you could do the same. Bless you all.

I am going to miss waking up at 5:00 am and not being able to watch your smiling face. You were always so happy and you always had the BRIGHTEST and BIGGEST smile on your face that gave me such a great way to start the day. My heart goes out to her family and friends. May God bless you during this time of sorrow. Take comfort in knowing that you now have a special guardian angel to watch over and guide you through lifes difficult times. In loving memorie of a wonderful person that will forever live on in my heart and in my prayers.

This is for you Heather :

Gods Angel

Such a beautiful time on earth
For Heather has came and quickly passed
She lived her life to the fullest
Such a shame it ended so fast

Now she?s in a better place
Where she will suffer no more
God called her home with open arms
As she arrived at Heavens Door

He greeted her with a loving hug
And a gentle kiss on her cheek
He said to her ?come with me Heather?
?I think you should have a peak?

As she followed his footsteps
Through the amazing gates of bliss
A tear ran down her face in thought of
All of her family and friends that she?ll dearly miss

In an instant he turned to her
To wipe away that tear
Telling her it?ll be alright
That loved ones will always be near

You are their guardian angel now
To watch over them every day
To help them through any difficult times
That may be heading their way

I called you home to me
Because your time on earth is through
I need you here with me now
For I have special duties for you

I have been watching over you
For your greatest 38 years
You have walked through life tremendously
Conquering all of your greatest fears

You are now free my angel
Still full of love and no longer sick
You will always be an angel above
May you Rest In Peace Heather Pick

My heart broke when I heard of Heather's passing on Friday evening. Like so many others, I only knew her through her TV presence, but I feel like I have lost a close friend. She was so graceful, beautiful, inspiring, and brave. I know there were many days that she was not feeling well, but she never let that show, even a little bit, on the news. In her short life, she helped so many ... whether it was women battling breast cancer, or animals at the zoo. Her amazing attitude and beautiful spirit made me want to be a better person. Her life was cut short way too soon, but her loving spirit will live on in all of us. My deepest condolences go out to Joe, Julia, Jack, and everyone else who knew and loved Heather.

To Heather's Family, Friends and Co-Workers from Channel 10: I am in complete shock and very devastated over our loss of Heather. I've been following the Channel 10 AM news for years and like everyone else in Central Ohio, we all fell in love with Heather's sense of humor, positive influence and style. Over the years, I've seen Heather around town having fun: dining with her husband the night before a concert, participating in the annual Race for the Cure events and most recently in July enjoying her children. The last time I saw her this past summer, it was a Sunday and I opted to let her enjoy the time with her children vs. disrupting their special time together. I will continue to wish Joe, Julia and Jack well as they keep Heather's memory alive. We will miss her always and she will never be forgotten. God Bless Heather Pick always.

Dear Joe, Julia and Jack, You all should be very proud of your wife and mother. She has given me such inspiration she was a true fighter. Never a day went by when she was on the job that she didn't have that beautiful smile and gleam in her eyes. She was fighting a hard fight but didn't ever let it get her down. She will be missed by so many but not the way you will miss her. Just remember she is in Heaven smiling down on you all and she is no longer in pain. I never met her but watched her everyday and this has hurt me as if she was a member of my family. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this sad time. God Bless You All!!

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Please know that my family and I are praying for all of you at this time and wish you all a happier tomorrow.

Was quite sad and shocked to hear of Heather's passing, as I have not watched local tv news for awhile. I remember from the times I did watch, she always had a cheerful smile and demeanor. As a person who is only five years older than Heather and also with two young children, reading her story is an inspiration to me to not take them or my life for granted. Many prayers going out to Heather's family and friends at this time.

My Mom, who was my very best friend, passed away from breast cancer a few years back. This poem helps me get through each day...
*God didn't promise days without pain, Laughter without sorrow or sun without rain....But God did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and a light for the way.* Cherish all your memories forever! Although, Heather will be greatly missed, she will live on in the hearts of those who knew her best!

Heather Pick of Ten

It’s a slightly cool day, winter’s coming soon
But it was kinda warm earlier at noon
Either way, sit and relax away from the noise and din
While I tell this tale of Heather Pick of Ten

She be a beautiful woman; special on 10 TV
Articulate and poised as only she could be
But her true gifts were her sweet spirit and heart
For they captured us all and set her apart

And she has a lovely family; 2 kids and Joe
They love Heather more than we’ll ever know
And she’s just special in each and every way
Sharing her love with all on any given day

And that’s why we now are still and shed sweet tears
For God has called Heather home with no sad or fears
Yes Heather’s now in heaven reporting on celestial land
Wearing her crown according to God’s own plan

Dear God please bless Heather’s family on this new path
Keep them precious and safe from all hurt, harm, and wrath
And help us live up to the high ideals Heather stood for
Keeping her dear in our hearts for ever, ever more

Yes it’s a somewhat cool day; winter’s coming soon
But earlier it was some warm, around high noon
And you sat and relaxed from the noise and din
While I told this tale of Heather Pick of Ten

Dear Joe and family:
What a joy it was to have Heather as part of the "Cregier Clan". My parents had been so honored to attend your wedding and to know of the joy Heather brought to your lives. Our Columbus relatives(Jim's family) always asked about Heather's well-being and we were always proud to tell them of her courage and spirited spunk. We loved having lunch with both of you the day we dedicated the "Grandpa Cregier" plaque at the Water Tower in Chicago, too. So we send our sympathies and warm love to you and the children during this time of loss. We extend our sympathies to your parents, Angie and John, too, as they hold you and their memories of a fabulous "daughter" in this challenging time. We will surely look for Heather's bench whenever we return to Columbus and visit the beautiful Zoo. It is a fabulous place for her to be memorialized and bring rest to many. Godspeed, Joe. You were an amazing spouse for a beautiful warrior princess.

We had just returned from Cleveland Clinic yesterday afternoon and turned on the news at 5:00. My husband is also fighting this dreadful demon and as we watched and listened to this sad news, my daughter who is Heathers age, my husband and I all cried. She was a dynamic lady and we are so saddened for her Husband and especially the children. May God bless them with peace and comfort. One thing about Heather she truly never let it stop or slow her down. I stood amazed as we would watch her just keep going like the energizer bunny. God bless you all.

We will miss her terribly and we pray that her spirit will live on in all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
November 08, 2008
Our deepest sympathy to Heather's husband, children, family and friends.
My daughter and I were able to witness, firsthand, Heather's incredible spirit, warmth and caring two years ago when she visited Brown Elementary in Hilliard to talk during our "Girl Power" day. On that day we saw the real beauty of her shine through as she spoke of confidence from within, dreams, and so much more. On that occasion we were able to see Heather as the person she was; beyond the news anchor we often watched on tv.

Our hearts are broken for your loss. We are cherishing our times with loved ones and doing special things for those we care for, just as Heather requested.
November 08, 2008

Music, when soft voices die

Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory—
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.

Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the beloved's bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.

I e-mailed Heather many times about her situtation and asking her if I could help. Because my Mother had Cancer from 1960 until 1998. I told her how my mom fought her cancer with a, look it right in the eyes attituted.

My heart is broken and I share with everyone grief that knew her; family, friends and the people she worked with.

We all were Blest in knowing her here on earth and now Heaven is Blest in having her.

May her young children remember their Mother with love in their hearts and remember that she is with them everyday that they live. Because she is a part of them forever. And no one will ever take that away.

Her husband, all I can say is; I know just about how you feel because I lost my husband to cancer too.

All my Best with a broken heart.

I have watched Heather since her first day on the morning news and have loved her every minute of that priviledged time. I am the mother of two beautiful daughters HEATHERS age and she has always held a very special place in my heart. Heather's gifts were way beyond her years and she touched so many lives. I share the grief the PICK family is carrying. I feel sure God will say, as Heather stands before HIM, ''WELL DONE, THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.'' My prayers are with the PICK family and those at 10TV.

Heather represented all that is noble and pure about humanity. Her engaging smile and ebullient personality were uplifting. Her perseverance was inspirational. Her tenacity in the face of adversity was motivating, and her sheer love of life was equally beautiful and poetic. She will be deeply missed among those left on earth, but the choir of angels has just gained a magnificent voice and radiant soul who will continue to remind each of us from the heavens that life is both fleeting and precious. May God bless and keep Joe, Julia, and Jack during this difficult time.

Words cannot express our deepest sympathy for everyone close to Heather, especially her family. We had the pleasure of meeting Heather about 4 years ago when she did a Pediatric Healthsource with our daughter and then more interviews to follow as part of the Childrens telethon. Heather would always spot us at the JDRF walks and would come over and hug us remembering our names. We stayed in touch via email as I would send pictures of our daughter or just quick notes saying hi, checking to see how things were going, or we loved the new wig. We were deeply honored to see our family as part of Heather's slideshow, a very fitting tribute to such an amazing person. Fly high Angel Heather. You will be missed.

November 08, 2008

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

November 08, 2008
Our condolences goes out to the family of Heather Pick. We did not know her personally, only by watching the 10TV news. She was a great inspiration to many people. Heather always had a smile on her face when she was doing the morning news even as she was going through her courageous battle with breast cancer. She never seem to let it get the best of her. I admire her for everthing she has done in trying to find a cure for the disease. Heather will truly be missed. May God bless your entire family during this difficult time.

Heather Pick was one in a million. She just had it. Heather reached out and touched her entire viewing public with it. Everything about her was truly special. The smile, the warmth, the laughter and the angelic personality. She brought warmth and joy into our homes with every news cast. She was family to her viewing public. A viewing public that loved and adored her. A viewing public that will cry and grieve for her. Thank you, Joe, Julia and Jack for allowing us to share our love for your truly special wife and mother. We also share the pain of your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers
November 08, 2008
Such a bright light in the eyes of many, a courageous star. My thoughts are with you Heather, and your family.
November 08, 2008
Our deepest sympathies for Heather's family and children. We will miss seeing her smiling face and good comaraderie with Chuck but we know she is at peace and no longer suffering. She was a wonderful woman and was introduced to us with a purpose and reason. She will never know how many lives she has touched. We will pray for her family and children to get through this difficult time. Thanks Joe for sharing her with us. We all are better people for having known her.

Heather filled the world with sunshine; now she surely lights the Heavens with a Radiance that will not die. Heather, I will miss you.
November 07, 2008
This poem has helped me think about life & loss. I know Heather is surrounded by her many animal friends and that one day she will be with her family and extended family again. Goodbye for now my friend.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

She was so very positive........having donned so many different wigs for years and keeping up such a good attitude. She is to be admired for her strength and fortitude. Life is short and she taught us how to make the best of it. She is one who can say that her life on earth was helpful to many.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

To the family and friends of Heather Pick,

I am a native of Columbus and have watched Heather fight her battle on live news each and every day. I was always so concerned about her family and children. I work as a Nanny in the area and had heard that Heather was lucky to have a wonderful nanny to help with the kids. What a tragic loss for everyone. I hope her family can take solice in knowing she is not in pain anymore. Bless you all and keep yourselves well.
