My heart bleeds for this tragedy of a wonderful young woman whom loved her family and her friends. Words can not describe the loss that I feel. Her heart was golden and her soul optimistic. She was sacrificing and giving to all that she met. She was a talented scientist, whom was dedicated to her work. I am grateful for having had the privilege to have known her. She remains in my heart and mind, as she always will.

I am deeply saddened by the horrible accident. She has been such a lovely and vibrant member in the lab and in my memory that it is utterly painful to accept the tragic loss.

I have always admired her passion in work and life, her pleasant personality and upbeat spirit. I remember that very conversation that I had with her was a delight, and every moment that I shared with her was enjoyable.

I will always miss her voice and smile and it is my great honor to ever know her.

In the very brief time that I knew Lanlin, I was always thrilled by her demeanor. She would brighten a room just by entering. Her enthusiasm and energy were electric and ever-present. It gave me great joy to interact with her because I came away from the meeting unexpectedly uplifted. I will miss her.

I cannot describe my feelings. Lanlin was always smiling and welcoming. As I remember the moment she first time stepped into my office to work on a project together, she had such a heart-warming personality. Over the time, we not only became great colleagues, but also established such a beautiful personal friendship that we would confide things in our personal lives to each other. You will be missed, Lanlin. Glad that I had a chance to shake her hand one last time while we were in Orlando at the conference.

We are so saddened to hear of the loss of such a beautiful person, inside and out. We send our deepest condolences to her husband and family. We are so glad that when we arrived in Orlando for the conference she was running down the main road while doing her training, and she saw us from afar and stopped to come say hi to us. I will never forget her smile and optimistic nature. So glad to have known her.

I had the adjacent office to Lanlin at ESL where we became not only fast friends but she referred to me as her "American Dad". The biggest transformation in her life seemed to be when she began dating another good friend at the lab, Gene. The transformation ........? She never stopped smiling after that. No matter how far and fast she progressed up the ladder here, she was never too important or busy just to stop by and say "Hi" or give a "hug" to this old technician. I miss her.
