I have known Nancy for a long time. She was a remarkable person. I taught with her at Oakmont Elementary. I do not remember her ever missing a day of school due to illness while I was there. She was a good classroom teacher. It seems she went to school forever- always learning. She fought a brave battle and was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Nancy and I met 38 years ago when we were teachers at Oakmont Elementary. When middle schools began, we applied as a team and taught at Johnson Park. We have remained friends, meeting monthly for lunch. I had no way of knowing that our phone conversation last Monday would be our last. I shall miss my friend, but will cherish and remember the times we have shared. May God comfort all who knew her.
I taught with Nancy for several years. I remember most her wonderful stories of her travels and explorations. She was a strong woman who cared for others and spent much time with her loving parents. She will be missed by all who knew her.
I knew Nancy as a fellow teacher. She touched many lives in a friendly, knowledgable way. I will remember her smile, her little laugh and her quietly loving ways.
I only knew Nancy for a short time but long enough to learn what an amazing woman she was. I'll remember her for her wonderful giving nature and endless passion for serving others.
