Coach Dupler. I never got a chance to come to this book before now. I just wanted to say thank you publicly for being a wonderful person, a great teacher & a great coach. You were always so funny and you made all of our times at East a great one. Will always love you and will continue to keep your family in my prayers. With much love, respect and admiration. I salute you for all you did for us at East. You were one of the best! Thank you Dup!

Dupler family, we can't speak highly enough about coach Dupler's influence. His strength and character inspired generations. We are incredibly fortunate to have had him in our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. - The Crosby Family

I am so sorry that I just heard about the passing of one of my favorite coaching buddies, Dan "Dupes" Dupler. What a servant he was to so many. He was one of the most unselfish people I know. If you had to sum Dupe up in one word I would pick "Giver." He gave his time, his money, his energy and his love to so many young people. Dupes, we can only pray that we had half the impact on young people that you did in your very honorable and successful career as an educator and coach. God, lend your ear to those of us who ask that you bring our friend into your Kingdom. Rest in Peace Buddy.

Just today, by accident, found out about "Coach D"'s passing. First met him 35 years ago during his stint at Watterson -- our infamous Class of '72 bootleg video will ALWAYS be my lasting memory of his legacy to my class...not to mention 27 years of helping him with his baby, the Central Ohio All-Star Game (1983-2009). Dupes, I just KNOW you and Mollick are having a great time together again....thanks for your passion, your dedication, and your love of kids in Central Ohio....and for your friendship and confidence in a one-time sports announcer-turned-editor who will always be grateful for allowing him to get behind a mic again. We've lost one of the truly great ones.

Hey Coach,

Just wanted to let you know that you were a great friend and inspiration to so many. You are one of the greatest men of all time. Moving forward we are going to miss you on this earth, but we are gadly waiting for that reunion in God's Kingdom. It is a pleasure and a Blessing to have met you. I am glad to have had your friendship for just a little while. See you soon.
Love always Julz

I just heard the news of my favorite coach of all time passing. Coach you will truly be missed, I want to say he had a great impact on the lives of many football players that came out of West HS. THANKS COACH FOR ALL YOU DID!

Coach Dupes was the essence of football toughness. I could recognize that low raspy voice anywhere. Right now he's probably up in heaven "yelling at the angels to get it right," What an inspiration he was to me. And, Jamie, not sure if you remember, but, my son Justin played UA travel baseball with you. Your dad was a great man. I truly loved him.

My condolences to The Dupler family..I knew Dan from texting him (accidently the first time)and it continued for almost 3 years...mostly during football season...his knowlege of sports was amazing as was his love for the Buckeyes his beloved Browns, and his students and his family! I will always regret never meeting such a wonderful person but will always cherish having known him! He made me smile! Rest in Peace friend!
