Peters John Earl Peters, Jr., 48, of Canal Winchester, passed away on May 23, 2015. John was an engineer for NS Railroad and belonged to many organizations such as the BLE&T as a local chairman, Marion Union Station Association, CORPM, Conrail Historical Society, ACL and SAL Historical Societies and Savannah RPM. Preceded in death by life companion Kimberly Taylor and grandparents James D. and Flora Emily Peters Stephen and Bertha Warner and James R. and Margaret L. Weaver. John is survived by mother, Carol A. Peters; father, John (Sharon) Peters, Sr; sister, Natalie Diamond; brothers, Michael Peters, Richard (Rainne) Nebb, and Randall (Suzette) Nebb; Kim's children, Kourtney (Josh) Enyart and Brittany (Chris) Scott; fr-amily, Kevin, Dennis, and his numerous railroad brothers; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 27, from 6-8 p.m. at COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his funeral will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. with visiting starting at 12 noon.
