BRESNEN (HALSEMA) Mary V. Halsema Bresnen, age 88 of Venice, FL. died December 26, 2012. She graduated from Minster High School and Mt. Carmel Hospital School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio where she was employed for 35 years. She retired to Venice, FL, living there for 34 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert C., parents John and Constance Durbin Halsema, sister Margaret Troyan. She was a member of Epiphany Cathedral, Venice, FL. Survivors include a step-daughter, Barbara Corry (Patrick) and family of Hattiesburg, MS; sisters, Sr. Corinne Halsema, OSF and Juliana (Thomas) Devine of Reynoldsburg; bother-in-law, Joseph F. Troyan of Baltimore; and 10 nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at St. Catharine Church, 500 S. Gould Rd. where friends may call one hour prior to Mass. Private Burial later.
