Kiser Michael Patrick Kiser, age 37, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his home. His sudden passing has left a deep hole in the hearts of many. Mike was the spark that lit up the room and will be remembered for his smile, contagious laugh and the true love he shared with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving parents, Jeffre and Gayle (nee Ody) Kiser; brothers, Jeffre (Tami) Kiser Jr., Nick (Nicole) Kiser; nieces, McKenzie and Katie; and nephew, Marshall; grandmother, Rita Dubena; aunt, Leslie McMullin; uncles, Don (Lynn) Ody and Dennis (Terry) Kiser; girlfriend, Cecilia Orozco; several cousins and countless special friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents Harold and Margaret Jane Kiser, Donald and Wanda Ody, and Carl Dubena. Mike was born March 14, 1977. He attended St. James the Less Catholic School and went on to graduate from Westerville South High School, Class of 1996. He worked as an ACI certified engineering field technician for Geotechnical Consultants Inc. He was an "old school" enthusiast, treasured collectables from his youth, preferred vinyl over digital, and was an unofficial member of the Bones Brigade. He could be found sketching, mixing records, skating and cruising the shire with CC and their dog Rudy in his new J's. His family welcomes you to join them in honoring Mike's life from 2-9 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43229. Father Charles Cotton, Celebrant. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Family requests donations to be made in Mike's name to Shelter Outreach Services of Ohio (www.sosohio.org) or Westerville Area Resource Ministry (www.warmwesterville.org) in lieu of flowers. Very blessed to have met him back in 3rd grade and later on in high school. He was the trend setter in elementary school and taught me how to skateboard. Gonna miss you bro!
