I attended St. Marks church as a child. I will never forget my first communion. I forgot to hold my hands properly. I will never forget Father Arter getting a chuckel out of that. He always reminded me of that moment every chance he got. He was our priest for many family losses and it was a comfort to have him with us at those times. He always had kind words and was very humble. Im very sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Arter Family.

Father Arter officiated at our wedding on June 13, 1970, at Immaculate Conception Parish in Dennison. He was a kind and gentle man. The world is a sadder place without him. Condolences to his surviving family.

In his eulogy, Monsignor Robert Noon said it all: Welcome home Father Ron, Welcome home. We and countless others rejoice in those words. Thank you Father Arter.

Our family had the privilege of having Father Arter for a parish priest at St. Lad's and I had the pleasure of seeing again at our class reunion. God bless you, Father, and rest in peace.
