It was my pleasure to have taken care of Stephen. He was so full of life, and positivity. It was always interesting talking to him, I learned many things as we talked. We will miss him here in chemo, seeing his smiling face. I am so saddened by your loss. Hold on tight to the many great memories I am sure you have, and hold them close to your heart during the hardest times for comfort. Thoughts and prayers for all of his family.
Sincerely,
Ann RN

Though we did not know your brother, we know you Scott, and we know that you are a fine, caring and considerate man. We know then that your brother was the same guy. Our hearts & prayers go out to Steve's family and the entire Rider family.

Steve was one of the Morning Drive kids growing up.
He had this neat larger-than-normal tricycle that one could ride very fast and we used to ride it down his driveway (and into the street, oops!).
He always seemed to have a smile on his face.
I will remember him as being one of the good guys.

The waves of shock and sorrow are huge. Both Jim and I shared such a great friendship with Steve over the last 35 years. Steve was a truly honorable person, loving husband and father, mentally and physically strong, capable, hard working and charmingly unique. All who knew him will be left with fond memories and unbelievable loss. Hoping his heaven is a beautiful garden filled with plants and animals and just a little bit of work to be done. We were blessed to know Steve. Our thoughts are with his wonderful family.

I never met a finer man - happy, thoughtful, fun, and loved his family.
Steve worked with me for years and what a privilege for me. When I look at my flowers and trees I will always remember Steve. I cannot stop crying today. Carol Ray

I deeply regret to see this very sad news. Steve was a great classmate; a first rate teammate; and a fine, optimistic, spirited, and pleasant friend. My condolences to his family.

Kara and family, I am so glad I was able to meet and work with Steve over the last few years; he had such a passion for the landscape industry and the future of Hope Hollow. My prayers go out to you and your family. He will be missed.
