I am deeply saddened by the news of Msgr. Bennett's passing. God blessed us Carolians with an outstanding example of a man and a truly dedicated servant of God. My condolences to his remaining family and the St. Charles community. He will be greatly missed and impossible to replace. My memory of Msgr.: one morning during the winter, as junior history class started, we heard " Gentlemen, please take out a blank sheet of paper and a pen. Today is the presidents test." I remember hearing young men wailing like banshees in the night! It soon quieted, then I composed my self and proceeded to ace the test! May you rest in peace and thank you for your love and instruction.
