To the Keating family - Bill and I were friends from birth, We lived three houses away and our Father's both worked for Ohio Bell. We had some wonderful adventures on our block. Several of us were within a year of each other at U.A. The last time I saw Bill and Betty was at First Community when they were teaching Sunday School. I was sorry to hear of his passing. My love to Sharon. I will remember Bill always.

I will remember Bill for many things, non the least of which was his unique, if not bizarre, sense of humor. I recall being part of a dysfunctional "band" of non-musicians called Yek (Key backwards),which included Bill, Russ Morgan, Dave Steffy, and Mike Phillips. We never made music because none of us played anything but we could at least strike poses for photo ops. I haven't been around Columbus in years but I know Bill will be missed.

I had typed a prev. message & it disappeared so I hope this doesn't become a duplicate. What I had said is that i did not get to know Bill as I had Alan, & I wish I had had that opportunity. I was so happy for you that you found love after your past loss. I have always remembered your wedding pic on the beach - so carefree & joyful. You have been "twice blessed" w/ love in mid-life. My heart breaks for you & I send you positive energy & hope that you experience "good" grief. I do not have to send you wishes for hope & strength for I know you have those, & those will see you through. I enjoyed seeing the fb pix of your lovely Beechwold home. Be very loving to yourself, good friend.

Bill was a big help while I was dealing with family dementia issues. A great source of guidance and strength, he will be missed. A quick wit and positive attitude, he shared freely his council and compassion.

I learned how gracious and generous Bill was when he and I and Nancy hosted a party together at their welcoming home. Bill's ready laugh and humor told me was perfect for Nancy. I admired his acute mind and openness to friendship. He will be much missed.
