Mr. James was such a remarkable man who obviously influenced many lives. I know he will be missed. Thoughts, prayers and condolences to all of his children and other family.
Butler James and his wife Joann were warm friendly good neighbors to me from the first day I moved next door. I enjoyed our over the backyard fence
chats and our common love of birds.I have enjoyed knowing John a little and send sincere condolences to him Julie, Sheri and Lisa and all the family.
Rest in Peace Butler.
To all The James'children---
I "echo" the thoughts of my children, Terry and Shelby, regarding your father.
He was truly a warm and succesful man that will be missed.

I'm sorry to hear about Uncle Butler's passing and wow, what a successful and intelligent man he was; reading his accomplishments made me feel like a big loser!!!! I wish I would have known him better than a one-time visit. I do remember spending time at the house with a big, fluffy dog, Terry and I in our sleeping bags and John's snake on the loose. Thinking of all of the James Gang at this difficult time.
Condolences to my cousins Julie, Sheri, Lisa and John James.
