Hi Cindy and Stella,
Thank you for writing such a lovely note to me. I did want to add that a very nice woman came to my house. She asked about Chris and shared with me her fond memories of Chris as her gymnastics coach. She showed me the very large scar on her knee and told me it was Chris who helped her get through such a horrible time in her life. Through her tears, she said she regretted not being able to help him in return. Clearly, she had warm, loving memories of the kindness Chris had shown her. Just another little example of how much your brother and son touched others. I hope you can find some comfort knowing he was held in high regard by many people. God Bless you and your family during this difficult time. Just one more thing...The city put a notice about the grass in the yard. I told my other neighbor and he ran right over and mowed it. On Monday, city crews showed up. They walked around a little with a weed whacker. I advised them the owner was deceased and clearly the grass was mowed. If you have any trouble with these people, let me know and I will do what I can to help. You can reach me at [email protected]

I have lived next door to Chris for many years. He was a private person, so I can't say I knew him well. I do know he was a reliable worker, soft spoken, and liked Bruce Springsteen! The thing you may not know about Chris is he allowed my feral cats full access to shelter in his garage. I never heard one complaint from him. I cannot tell you how many nights, with six inches of snow on the ground, minus 10 degrees, and the wind howling at the windows, I would be worried sick about my elderly cats and new kittens but when I peeked out my door, there was a trail of footprints to his garage. I'm sure Chris was a special person to his friends and family, but to me he was an unsung hero. God bless, Chris. Thank you for being so good to the underdogs and I hope you are having a beer listening to Bruce!

Dear Stella, Cindy, and Norman, I am sad to hear that my high school buddy Chris stepped into eternity. One of my fondest memories is being a disc jockey with Chris at the DCCC radio station and his love for music. Rockin Rod and his side kick Chris we all know it was Chris who selected the music. We had great fun together and he was a close friend through those difficult high school years. My sincerest condolences. Peace and Blessings, Rodney
