Mark Israel Obituary

Lawrence - Mark Lee Israel, 57, died Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Hospice House, Topeka, Kansas.

Mark was born October 20, 1956 at the Trinity Hospital, Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Leroyce "Lee" and Evelyn Stephenson Israel.

He was baptized at the First Baptist Church Dodge City, in 1967. Mark graduated from Dodge City High school in 1974. He was the manager of the Coop Service Center in Dodge City for over 20 years.

Survivors include: his mother; two sons, Dylan and Seth Israel, Lawrence, Kansas; brother, David Israel and wife Sandi, Newnan, Georgia; sister, Tanya Eversole, Dodge City; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Ft. Dodge Chapel, Ft. Dodge, Kansas with Vernon Bogart officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery with full military honors by Howard Gotschall VFW Post 1714 and KSARNG Funeral Honors. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.

The family suggests donations to the Dylan and Seth Israel College Fund in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave, Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
