May the God of comfort and tender mercies continue to comfort your family and friends, and may you find comfort in the words found in the Holy Scriptures: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."" Please accept my sincere condolences during this time of your loss.

Sending God’s blessings to the Bridges family with a poem. I wrote this when my Mom died.

Life is a journey. When we begin this journey, we know ultimately, there will be an end. In some way there is, but more important is what happened along the way that makes us who we are. Our lives are the threads of connected experiences encountered during this personal journey. The building materials are our parents who make us, then its family, surroundings, people, events and experiences. We never really know how these building materials shape our lives, thoughts and feelings until we lose one of the pieces that helped connect the threads of our journey. It’s then that we feel an end and that part of us is gone because they are gone. But it is the complete opposite. All of you are here and better because of your Mom. She is a special part in the thread that made you who you are. What we gain from others throughout our lives never ends but gets brighter within us because of them and life continues. And when we go away, the light gets brighter in others, and life goes on and on. Maybe that’s what we call a soul.

Celebrate her life and the fact that you were fortunate to have her in it as she was to have you in hers. Your Mom is in our prayers.

My deepest condolences to the whole Bridges Family for your great loss.

It is evident that Dot was a remarkable wife and mother, to have raised a fine hard working family.
She vauled the precious gift of life by the way she lived hers. May those happy memories sustain the family and bring some comfort. Although life will never be the same without her.
Wise King Solomon once said that there is "a time to weep". But he also said that there needs to be "a time to heal."--Ecclesiastes 3:3,4
For those she left behind coping without her will be hard. Nevertheless, those who live on still have much to contribute to others.--Ecclesiastes 11:7,8
