Ruby E. Snell Mrs. Ruby E. Snell of Echo passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Oakview Manor. She was 96. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marquis Wingard officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's United Methodist Church Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Flowers will be accepted or memorials to Brown's United Methodist Church c/o Wanda Wright, 713 Frankfort Drive, Dothan, AL 36305. Ruby Estelle Spivey Snell was born January 27, 1917 in Dale County, Alabama, daughter of Daniel and Carrie Cordelia Brown Spivey. Mrs. Snell was a lifelong resident of Dale County, Alabama and a member of Brown's United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Snell, three sisters, and seven brothers. Survivors include eight daughters: Nira Jean Griggs of Ozark, Leota Miller of Ozark, Delane Blackburn of Ozark, Martha Burroughs (Vern) of Hillsboro, OH, Betty Cochran of Echo, June Smith (David) of Troy, Wanda Wright (Larry) of Dothan, and Melba Cox (Hal) of Ozark; two sons: Horace Snell, Jr. of Headland and Michael Snell (Vicki) of Ozark; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
